SecurElement provides continuous data protection (CDP) solutions to alleviate the
constraints of tape and local-disk backup. The CDP solutions are customized to fit
your unique business needs and consolidate formerly disjointed backup solutions
into one centralized management platform. Point-and-click capabilities allow for
recovery of deleted files, emails, and databases and users are also able to access
previous reversion recovery over the Internet. CDP solutions will enhance user productivity,
reduce administrative overhead, decrease backup costs, and increase security and
reliability.

How it Works
|
|
|
|
All data is transferred via the Internet using AES-128 encryption for security.
The system automatically throttles bandwidth utilization to ensure no impact on
your general performance, and SecurElement can configure QoS and bandwidth throttling
on your firewall(s) to ensure minimal impact to high priority traffic.

|
|
Custom Interoperability
|
|
|
|
Many organizations have invested a substantial amount of capital in old, unreliable
tape backup systems because electronic backups were not cost-effective. SecurElement
understands and will work with you to transfer critical data such as financial,
contracts, email, and databases to the new, cost-effective CDP solution. You can
specifically select what systems, folders, files, and databases to backup while
performing a smooth migration from your legacy backup system to the CDP solution.

General Deployment Scenarios

SecurElement has designed multiple scenarios to fit our broad customer base and
can customize the solution to your specific needs. Below is a general outline of
available options.

The data selected from servers, desktops, and laptops is encrypted and transmitted
to the designated data center for backup. Your information resides on logically
partitioned and exclusively secured CDP appliances.
|

Data retrieval can only be performed using your encryption key from designated systems
to maximize data security and simplify data recovery. You can add site-to-site replication
for your data for an additional level of redundancy.
|
|
In this scenario, data selected from servers, desktops and laptops is encrypted
and transmitted to the designated data center for backup. Your information resides
on exclusively secured CDP appliances dedicated only to your organization. Through
source/destination IP Locking and the AES-128 encryption key, only your systems
have access to these physical appliances to retrieve your data.

|
|
|
|

Dedicated - On Site
|
|

In the event your bandwidth is limited or your backup data set is too large for
timely backup over the Internet, an appliance can be deployed locally at your location.
This ensures backups are performed over the high-speed local area network.

Once completed locally using the CDP appliances, maximum compression and bandwidth
throttling techniques ensure your data can be replicated off-site to any of our
data centers using either exclusively secured appliances or your own dedicated appliances.

|

Additional Flexibility
|
|
|
|
In each of the CDP options, you can select any of our partners' available data centers
that meet your geographic safety concerns for storage of your initial data. In addition,
we can add replication of your data from the selected primary data center to any
of the other available data centers. There are various data centers located throughout
the United States and Europe to choose from.

|
|
In the event of a major disaster, when data to be recovered is too large to restore
over the Internet in a timely fashion, SecurElement will deliver on-site or ship
to you all of your information on a server to recover locally. This added level
of redundancy greatly reduces mean-time-to-recovery for your organization.
